Summer Bronzed Makeup Look Tutorial
Ενημερώθηκε: 21 Αυγ 2018
In Summer we like to go as "nude" as possible! With all these high temperatures, the last thing we want is to burden our skin with tones of makeup!
Letting our skin breath and go as natural as possible, is the best thing we can do for our skin!
Hereunder you will find a very easy photo - tutorial on how to achieve a fresh, glowing summer bronzed makeup look, so as to look like a summer goddess without a lot of products!
Let's get started!
Step 1: Always start with moisturizing and then priming your skin, so as any product that you will put afterwards, will blend flawlessly. For this look I chose the L’Oréal Lumi Magique Primer, since we want a glowing, dewy face.
Step 2: For the daytime, I do replace my foundation with a BB Cream which has an SPF, to protect my skin from the sun!! Sun can be the best friend and the worst enemy at the same time for your skin, so in the daytime you do need to protect it!! The BB Cream gives a light weight medium coverage on the skin, which makes it look very natural! My personal choice of BB Cream is the Rimmel BB Cream in Light Shade.
Attention: If you gonna use this look for the night time, I suggest you, do replace your BB cream with your original foundation!! Foundations with SPF protection and camera lights don't go together!! Unfortunately SPF protection doesn't have the abitility to block the flashback, so when you gonna get photographed the flash will be reversed and will come back right on your face!! So, if you want to avoid any inconvenience and bad pictures, just put your original foundation!! Anyway, in the night time you don't need SPF protection!
Step 3: Next thing is the concealer!! I do use two concealers for my eyes and I will explain to you the reason right away! The first concealer (Erre Due Concealer) I use is to cover up my dark circles.
The second concealer (Naked Skin Concealer by Urban Decay in Fair Neutral S hade) is to light up the area under my eyes!! My favorite way to apply my concealer is with a dump beauty blender sponge.
How to use a beauty blender: put your beauty blender sponge under the water to get wet for 30 seconds and then squeeze it and put it straight on your skin! It is most probably the best way to apply your foundation or concealer. The fact that you dub your foundation or concealer instead of rubbing it, allows it to stay over there and not grease!! Plus, the Beauty Blender will pick up any excess and will leave your skin flawless.
Step 4: After applying your concealer, you surely want to set it. Throughout the day the concealer might grease due to high temperatures. So, we need something to keep the concealer in place. I used the MAC Prep + Prime Translucent Powder. My favorite way to apply it, is again with the beauty blender sponge. That was a tip I saw on Youtube and it actually works; if you do apply your setting powder with your dump beauty blender sponge, it will prolong the setting and your concealer won't go anywhere during the day!!
Step 5: This is an optional step but i really liked how it turned out!! Before you highlight your cheeck bones, you can put a base, so the highlighter will come up stronger! So, I used these GOSH Lumi Drops in 002 Vanilla Shade as a base for my highlight. Literally a drop goes a long way on both highlight bone areas. Again i did apply it with my beauty blender.
Step 6: Ok now is bronzing time! For bronzing up my skin, I chose the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Bronzer in the shade Give Me Sun!! It is the perfect shade for this look as it has an orange shade with very warm undertones!! It really compliments my skin tone (which is medium with yellow undertones) and makes it look sun kissed. I applied it with a big fluffy brush on the contour area and on the forehead. If you have the same skin tone as mine this is a very good choice, or else you should find a shade that compliments your skin tone!
Step 7: And now the star of the show! Let's glow up the place! (♫ We know when that highlight blings..♫) This highlighting palette is one of the best palettes i've owned till so far. This is the Solstice Highlighting Palette by Sleek and i used the Equinox Shade (it's the first coral champagne shade on the top) to highlight by cheek bones, my nose and my upper lip.
Step 8: After the highlight part, we move on to the blush!! For this look, I chose a nice coral shade for blush from the Morphe 9B Blush Palette (another superb and high pigmented palette I recently owned) and apply it with a Morphe E4 Angled Brush!! Angled brushes are made mostly for contouring, but I prefer to use it as a blush brush. It just gets the blush in the right place.
Quick Tip: Make sure you put your brush a bit higher from your cheeks and swerve the brush backwards in an angled move. The blush will fall into place and will be right in between your bronzer/contour and your highlight!
Step 9: This is again an optional step! When I was done with my face I felt that I needed my eyes to be popped out a little bit! So, this is what I did; I took again the highlighting palette and this time, with a Morphe E36 brush or any inner corner brush, I chose the Subsolar Shade (it's the second shade on the top) to highlight my inner corner of my eyes! Highlighting your inner corners, gives depth in to your eyes and makes it pop out and look much bigger!!
Step 10: To finish this look, I applied a lot of mascara and of course a nice vibrant lipstick! You can choose any vibrant colorful lipstick you want, as your lips are the ones which will stand out! My choices were; Bourjois Ultra Black Mascara and for lips I choose the MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus 2 Lipstick which is a perfect reddish coral shade.
This is the final look (again) right here;
Do it and enjoy it!
